Hello from the soggy NorthWest,
Nothing like a LOT of rain to remind us of one of the main reason’s why we love living in this region so much, second only to being able to participate in the NW Projections Film Festival. And yes, my fellow Celluloid Cenobytes, it is that time again. We are graciously accepting entries into the NW Projections Film Festival 2010! Our early deadline is February 8th 2010 and the fee is only $20. The late deadline is March 1st, 2010 and is only $25. The ultra exciting news that I am giddy to share with you right now is that you don’t even have to get out of your chair. With another week of rain predicted I didn’t want my fellow filmmakers to get damp and moldy while submitting. Just click on the link below, fill out the online submission form, make your payment via Paypal, and then you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail and instructions on how to upload your film to our secure server. Her is the link to get started now:

One thing to be prepared for is to export a slightly lower resolution version of your film for uploading. Once you are notified that your film is in the festival you will be asked for the full resolution version of your film. This year our competition categories are,
Narrative short,
Documentary short
Pure Schlock
Animation/Experimental/Music Video/Sports (these four will fill one programming spot)
We are also programming feature films in our out-of-competition “Director’s selection” category. Please submit these films the same way and then you will be given instructions on where to mail your screener. This year promises to be a great festival: we have promising leads on major Hollywood talent for our filmmaker workshops and some fantastic venues already clamoring to be the place for the parties and socials.
Thank you all for your support and if you have any questions or would like a copy of the press kit, to pass on to others please contact me.
Sincerely,
Wilson Large
